My New Composter

A few weeks ago when the leaves were starting to fall from the tree in my back yard, I asked Mr. Breeze to make me a composter. He looked around online and came up with these plans. We took a family trip to the Home Depot, and the kids and I spent the rest of the day in the driveway watching the construction effort. I’m thrilled with the results. Tulip and I have been saving kitchen waste in a big yogurt container to run outside every day or so. Our jack-o-lanterns and a good portion of the leaves from our tree have made it into the bin. I’m hoping that, over the course of the winter, I can add more of the leaves and eventually use the compost in our flower beds. I’d even like to extend our herb selection beyond its current rosemary bushes. I’ve definitely got a couple of places for more rosemary as well.
