I gave a couple of Cokes to two Mormon kids who came to my door yesterday, and I feel a little guilty about it. In my defense, I thought they were Jehovah’s Witnesses, and JWs drink caffeine, right? At any rate, it was obnoxious, but unintentionally so. I suppose it would have been nicer to let them come in and do my dishes like they wanted to, which would have made giving them glasses of water an option, but all I had in a to-go container was two cans of Coke, and I thought offering them a drink from the scarey atheist lady would be a nice gesture since they looked hot. Instead, they, like my husband, probably thought I was making fun of them. I just can’t win this week.
